2014 Alumni Achievement Award Recipient

Mark is the 2014 Alumni Achievement Award Recipient and an Alumni Ambassador. He serves as chief engineer of the Soyuz Branch, Astronaut Office at the NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining engineering knowledge of Russian launch vehicles and spacecraft. His career has included positions as NASA's deputy director of the Human Space Flight Program in Russia, where he was involved in the International Space Station, and as an attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Russia. He has spent more than 6 hours weightless in nearly 20 flights aboard NASA's zero-G research aircraft.  In addition, Mark earned a master of science in technical management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2002.
